Lie is Key: Part Four Chapter One

A Chapter by Nick "The Stick" Branyon
"

End of a Road.

My Caroline walked over to her closet to change and I, already in my bathing suit from minutes before chatting with Caroline, headed down to my Cobalt. The Cobalt had a nice buffed-out American Red with mufflers at the back where the motor sets. A neighbor called the police on me because of how loud the boat was. The police just told me, "You don't need to listen to him. He already crazy because he went to jail for DUI five times in one week." I could however turn off the roar of the engine with a switch on my boats dashboard.

The Cobalt rested on the crystal clear water when I arrived. The keys were in my hands dangling by my side. The sun was right over the mountains almost blinding me trying to look at its beauty. The cover has been uncovered and I untied the ripe from the boat off the dock. Good timing as well when my Caroline came walking down toward the dock with the Bud Light colar. Caroline looked outstanding with her bikini. Red and white patterns (I think it was the stripped pattern bikini, well I can't remember everything). Her body for example looked like a girl I know, I think it was a Hannah Beavers (Old friend from school).

Caroline crawled into the Cobalt and we set off in the blue sky.

Fishing boats were out for a tournament to win $100,000. The water was heckteck trying to get to our destination. This made me feel great while Caroline hanging on fee dear life (The reason it made me feel great was the fact seeing my wife hanging on for help, mean right). After turning left and right from cove to cove, we reached our destination out near unlimited trees and our waterfall.

The crystal clear waterfall was out of this world. It was like heaven to me to be exact. It poured and roared as the water hits the lake. My Caroline took pictures with me making a heart shape with my hands. Caroline loved this picture so much. I unhooked the keys to the boat and anchored it near the waterfall. Caroline and I then jumped into the clear water. Our bodies were tight upon each other. I could feel the warm, wet skin of hers in the lake. Her hand wrapped around my neck and we kissed. Caroline then asked,
"Do you want to climb up toward the waterfall?" she smiled at me still wrapped on me.

In Lake Jocassee, certain waterfalls have rope, roots from trees, and vines to help you get on top of the waterfall. Rope to help pull you up, roots as the ladder, and vines to swing to places over holes. Mainly nature helps you get up there. I smiled back at her beautiful face and replied,
"Sure, but both of us need to be real cautious."

We both headed toward the ropes to help pull us up. I tested the rope and see strong and it was very strong indeed. So Caroline and I got up and headed toward the roots which was thick and stable. Didn't take long for me to get up there, but Caroline's bikini top and breasts were holding her back from getting stuck in the roots pointing out. I laughed though uncontrollably. Finally the vines, which was only one cliff to pass. The width maybe around six feet or less, but Caroline and I passed with ease.

Caroline and I walked a few yards as we reached the top of the waterfall. The waterfall's creek was used by the Cherokee Indians for water, fish, etc. The algea grew between the rocks. The cold stream made my feet numb and the oak smell was tremendous. Caroline was standing in one spot the whole time. I looked at the view and said to her,
"Look at the view, you can see the boat from here."

Still, Caroline stood still. Eyes wondering, her hands in a fist, and her stance was straight as a stick. I walked over to her slowly. My expression turned from happy to worried. As I got close to her and finally grabbed her shoulders, she started walking. Walking toward the drop of the waterfall. Caroline then turned to me and said,
"I must go, NOW!"

She turned back around and walked off the waterfall. I shouted,
"Wait, WAIT!!"
It was too late. Caroline walked off. I ran to the edge and found Caroline at the bottom in a pool of blood. I cried out to her but she didn't respond, so I jumped off into the deep lake (As Caroline walked off, she fell and her feet got caught by a root making her body to hit flat on the riggid rock and off into the water. The reason that I know this for a fact is that I found some skin pieces of her skin on both the rocks and the root when I looked down to see her). I swam to my Caroline as rapidly as I can. Caroline was luckily floating for me to grab her. I pulled her onto a shallow sandy area and laid Caroline on me.

I tilt her head toward me as I found a huge, humongous gash on her head. Eyes were red from blood and her body was broken. Caroline spoke luckily too and said softly to me,
"I love you Joe, bit remember,.... you will find out the real you and me later. For the time being, remember,.... lie is key and I shall be with you for my love rich or poor, life till death. May you Joe, sweetheart, be protected."

Caroline slipped away with her blood on my hands. I cried with tears of sorrow. My tears hit Caroline one by one. From this day, my love Caroline, was my only angel I had.
