Lethean Honeysuckle

Lethean Honeysuckle

A Chapter by Nusquam Esse

Through darkness
hushed whispers held
a hinted sweetness pressed
t'ween yielding lips the
mnemonic tease
of honeysuckle
fingers trailing lithe tendrils
enveloping, obscuring
memories shared
in their neglect
of a summer-night's
Remembrance
forgotten
but that lingering scent
and a velvet sensation
clasped to the heart

had to look up lethean .. what a great word my friend! such a contrast with sweet honeysuckle for a balm ..your poem really captures a profound beauty and the dichotomy of holding that memory tho it caused pain as well ... some fine work with metaphor and imaging sir .. love your use of the language .. its a keeper says i! thanks for sharing ...
