Gray Witches

Gray Witches

A Chapter by Kenneth The Poet

Detritus floating
in the commode, three sisters
having only one
eye and tooth between themselves,
their sight and bite are tiny

Gray witches is too
kind a moniker for them,
they are dark matter
sucking the light and life from
everything their senses touch

All alone they are,
fighting over the eye just
to bring down others,
they don't see what others
do outside their minor sight

They become encased
in stone with their snake sister,
the one who lost her
head to the valiant hero's
acute sword and mirror shield

The dark sisters are
now forever locked into
granite infamy,
gray is always their presence,
silver never their lining
