Away From There

Away From There

A Chapter by Kenneth The Poet

The government just

hinders human advancement

and only allows

human apathy to thrive,

human weakness to bear fruit.

Welfare is cancer,

be it corporate or social,

subjecting the will

of creation, keeping it

bonded within steel shackles.

Look at how that taint

has corroded the lives of

already down folks,

breeding a new corruption

and a lax initiative.

This is why guilty

liberals report half-truths

in the media,

to make the hard workers feel

more guilty than they should be.

Men have done bad deeds,

they cannot be forgotten,

but these things should not

cause guilty feelings in the

subsequent generations.

This does disservice

to both sides, the corrective

measures cannot take

hold, because without pain, there

is no growth away from there.

Welfare had a reason. Like all things. Welfare become a lifetime activities for many. President Clinton slowed it down. Bush and Obama insure the welfare roll grew in great numbers. Hard subject welfare. It is needed but the people who abuse it make it look real bad. Thank you for the excellent chapter.

"without pain..." This is THE line, my friend. And lest we forget, fear is the corroding thread in every ----ing thing.
Nice thought provoker.

Well, you should be torn. Welfare is, mostly, non-existant in our country; other than food stamps. Those receiving any type of welfare must, now, work for it, if able. You are speaking of an earlier day that no longer exists. If you are talking of food stamps, any public assistance, or social security, you are well enough and finacially secure enough to think that you will never need any help. We, all, get old, sonk and are your going to look out for your mother or is the government?!

Sorry, when you drive a thorn into people, your have to understand the reviews!!
