Chapter Eight

Chapter Eight

A Chapter by Escape My Fate

It was 11 in the night. The party was wild. Lots of girls and boys drunk. Kyle was only on his second beer. Maddy, only had a sip. But after a while kyle let loose. He drank more and more. Until he was absolutely drunk is when Maddy grew concerned. So she was going to test him
"Hey kyle" she asked
"hmm?" he asked
"Can i have a full beer" Maddy asked
"Suuuure. Go have fun!" kyle pushed her away.
He was too drunk.
But Maddy decided to use this as a free pass. They were at Kyle's friend's house. She went up to him
"Hey," she began, "Can i have a beer?"
"Sure" he handed her three.
She drank one and started to feel light headed. After two she felt weird... but at the same time good. She started to walk around. She stumbled every once in a while. But finally, she passed out.
She woke up at their apartment. Kyle was gone. She was alone. She wondered were he was. She tried to get up but her head hurt too much. She took some aspirin and began to make coffee.
Kyle walked in holding a bag from McDonald's.
"I got breakfast" he said. He sounded angry.
Maddy wasn't going to push her luck
"Thanks" she said. She served him coffee, just the way he liked it.
"Thanks" he said as he took a sip.
It was silent. Maddy ate her McDonald's quietly. She was waiting for it
"What the hell were you thinking?" Kyle asked
And there it was
"You let me!" Maddy objected
"I was drunk!" he said, "Your underage!"
"Oh, so since you 18 you get to do everything while i just sit there and enjoy the ride?" Maddy said, anger filling her.
"Yeah!" kyle said
"Well too bad! I'm not ganna" she said
Maddy got up, grabbed her backpack and headed to school. She still had a hour but she would just hang out in the library or something.
Besides, it was a long walk.
"Do you want a ride?" Kyle asked, catching up to her in the lobby
"No" Maddy snapped.
She knew she hurt kyle. He was only trying to protect her, but he was TOO protective.
Maddy was halfway to school when she saw some familiar people. The kid with black spiky hair with blond at the tips. Maddy tried to lay low, but he saw her.
"Hey!" he shouted
Maddy ignored him
He went after Maddy, leaving his friends behind, shocked.
"Hey" he said again
"Urm, hi" Maddy said
"Whats with the change of look?" he asked
Maddy didn't understand. She looked down at her cloths. She was wearing a Escape The Fate t-shirt with a little girl holding a teddy bear. The girl looked like a zombie with red glowing eyes. Cars flipped over in the background. She was also wearing dark blue skinny jeans with her black converse.
"I don't gets whats wrong with my look" she said
"Well, I've never seen you dress with skinny jeans and band t-shirts" he said
"Oh... yeah well... i just put on something random this morning" she said
She was wearing one of the shirts she bought for her brother.
"You look good" he said
Maddy blushed
"So... why are you suddenly talking to me? I though you and your friends hated me" Maddy said
"They hate you, i never said i did" he said
"Oh" Maddy said
The arrived at school.
"Oh i almost forgot, my name is Nathan." he shook my hand
"Oh I'm-" she began
"I know, your Maddy" Nathan Said
"Yeah" she said, "How do you know that?"
"We share connect class, the teacher says your name and you answer." He said
"Your very observant aren't you?" Maddy asked
"You could say that" he said, "You know what else I've observed?"
"What?"
"Your favorite color is pink, you secretly like scremo, you ex boyfriend is a dick, your staying in a hotel until your brother, kyle, finds a decent house or apartment and you love roses, sunsets, and scary movies." he finished
I stared at him
"Wow" she said, "Are you my personal stalker?"
"Haha, i guess you could say that" he said
He smiled at me and she smiled back.
"Hey Nathan!" someone yelled.
"Gatta go" he said, and he left.
Maddy spent the rest of the day ignoring peoples stared and rumors, and trying to figure out what just happened.

I love Nathan. Kyle is kind of dick...but he's nice.

I agree they would make a good couple. I would really love having them together..I hope he doesn't end up becoming a jerk like Eric. Can't wait to read on. Thanks for sharing. :)

Nathan and Maddy would make a strikingly good couple. I knew the party would be a total disaster. Didn't I tell you? Tell me I did. This story is just getting better and better. But Maddy KNOWS about her mom and drinking. Why did she drink like that? What's up with her messed-up self? And Kyle has a right to be mad at her for what she did. But he shouldn't have gotten drunk. He knew he had a little girl to look after. The terrible choices in this novel are effecting the total outcome of the characters. People, such as me, start to accosiate them with their bad choices. Like right now I'm picturing Maddy as JD that likes drinking and going behind her family's back. I think that the father was slightly right to leave his drunk wife, but not without getting a divorce. Maybe Kyle and Maddy SHOULD go with him. I don't know. It's not my story. It's just the vibe I'm getting from it. You should key in more about Eric's cheating, too. Like Maddy sees him with her. And watch it be the girl with the cuts. That would be AWESOME. Oh well. Oh, one more thing. Bring in more characters. you only have Nathan, Eric, Maddy, Kyle, and their parents. That's not a lot of characters for a novel! Looking forwards to more! -Doc xx
