Chapter Nine

  All day Maddy couldn't stop thinking about Nathan. And all through advisment he wouldnt stop staring at her. She got hit in the face with a racket in gym because she was staring at him. It was driving her crazy. Finally it was the end of the day. She rushed out of school, hopeing and praying that Nathan wouldn't find or catch up to her. But her hopes and dreams were crushed when she heard the familiar voice shouting for her.

"Hey maddy! Wait up" Nathan shouted

She sighed

"Hey" she said with a smile

"Hey" he said, "Whats up?"

"Nothing much.... just... you know... walking home" she answered

"Haha. Mee too" he smiled at her.

She smiled back

"So can i know moe about you?" Maddy asked

"Well, that depends. Do you want to know" Nathan asked

But Maddy wasn't paying attention to him. She looked over to see Eric. Eric and a girl. But not just any girl. The girl from the bathroom. The girl Maddy helped.

"Whats wrong?" Nathan asked. he turned and looked at what she was looking at.

Eric was holding her hand and smiling.

"Hold these" Maddy said to Nathan. She gave him her books. Nathans eyes widened

"Your not ganna fight are you?" Nathan asked

Maddy ignored him. She walked up to the girl.

"He's using you" she said

Eric and the girl turned and looked at her.

"I know how Eric is. He's using you to get to me." Maddy said, "Eric is into the preppy cheerleaders. He hates emo's" 

They both stared. Then the girl spoke

"Your just jelouse. You want him back. But he's mine." she spit, "You took Nathan from me, you not taking Eric"

Maddy's eyes widened. She turned and looked at Nathan. He was staring at his shoes

"Don't say i didn't warn you" Maddy said to her.

Maddy turned and walked away. She got Nathan by the arm and they kept walking. Nathan gave the books back to Maddy and she put them in her bag. It was akwardly silent. Nathan kept trying to hold Maddy's hand

"You dumped her didnt you" maddy asked

"Urm... Yeah" he said

"Why" Maddy didnt sound mad, curious, nothing. Her voice was expressionless.

"Because," he started. He grabbed maddy and made her stop walking. He pulled her close and whispered in her ear, "I like you"

Maddy tried to push him away but he kissed her. And maddy kissed him back.

Someone cleared their throat

Nathan and Maddy looked up to see kyle. Leaning against the hotels wall. One eyes brow up

Maddy blushed. She hugged Nathan goodbye and headed to her brothers side.

"Who was that?" He asked

"Someone" Maddy said

She went to her bed, smiling. She couldn't stop thinking about Nathan for the rest of the say.

You know what would be hilarious? If Eric turned out to be gay. And he was cheating on Maddy with a guy. Heh heh. But that's kind of extreme. I just thought it would be something good to throw at us readers. Eh, things are actually looking up for dear Maddykins.
