The title sums it up

Why could I not see?

How could I have been so bloody blind?

To ever think you could’ve been trusted.

What’s with your apathetic stare?

Did YOU really think I’d throw this away & act like I really didn’t care?

All those smiles,

were they all fake?

You’re walking away,

like you always do.

Have you always run away from your problems?

How could you?

It hit me like a blow to the face & a punch to the gut.

You said you cared,

but if you do,

then you wouldn’t have walked away.

Was it a lie too?

Every word spoken,

was it all for pretend?

You knew what you were getting into,

so why did you still run?

You betrayed me,

like a stab to the back & a blow to the heart.

You’ve lost all respect & the trust I gave,

something that you could never gain back. 

Now you’re about as important to me

as the scum on the bottom of my shoe.
