Part Three

Art crossed the finish line in fine shape. He was greeted by an elated Fay, who had run the shorter race.

"You won!" she shouted. "What are you, some superhuman thing?"

Art laughed and insured her he was not super human.

They walked off together chatting as if they were old acquaintances. She found him easy to talk to, and like wise he found her easy to be with.

Art and Fay rode in a hot air balloon that night.

Looking out, Fay's eyes sparkled in the moonlight.

"It's so beautiful!" she exclaimed.

Tears formed in her eyes.

Art stood in silence. He was an inward person, one whose emotions could not be put in words so easily. He preferred looking out at the world beneath him and wonder at its glory, his feelings staying locked deep inside.

"This is nice," he said finally.

She put her head on his shoulder and held his hand,

"Yep," she replied.
