Part Six

It's February 24th and bitterly cold. Fay sits across the desk from her therapist, Dr. Mora Daniels. She was in for one of her bi annual tune ups.

"So," Dr. Daniels inquires, "How are things going between you and that boy?"

"It's going good," answered Fay. "I think he might marry me."

"Really! How do you know?

"Because," Fay replied, "he took me out to look at rings the other day. It was Valentines day.

'Do you like this one, do you like that one.' He was full of, 'Do you like,' questions."

Dr. Daniels leaned back in her chair and looked at her.

"And how do you feel about all this?"

"Happy," Fay replied, "very, very happy."

Dr. Daniels stood and said,

"Okay then, that's all that I have for today. See you next time."

"What? That's it, no more questions? Don't you want to know about my dreams. Their getting worse you know."

"No," she said sharply, "that's enough for today."

Fay stood and slowly walked out.

"Now what was that all about?" she thought.

Maybe she had said something that had upset the good doctor, but she couldn't figure out what.

Dr. Daniel aggressively walked out of her office and down the hallway to Dr. Shoemake's office.

Without knocking, she opened the door and walked in.

"Dr." she said, "we might have a bit of a situation."
