excruciatingly green grass

excruciatingly green grass

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

For Delmar, and Chris ... inspired review and conversations.

"
The stains on the walls
the garbage on the streets
unexpectedly replaced by spring
and excruciatingly green grass.

he says, "you got it bad..."
and she hates to admit it,
but she does.

When you are in love, the whole world is beautiful....maybe you got it bad, but that is a good thing! Lydi**

Yes, good, and scary, all at the same time. Thanks for reading
An eye-opening of sorts. The metaphor here is quite deep and almost hidden. Love can often feel like spring, can't it?

Impressive writing.

Thanks so kindly. :)
Your words here speak to my strange little minf as the first part being the norm and the last part would be apprehension at change, even if it was something that I knew was coming. But that's just me, sitting in my own comfort zone, who needs at least a days notice to make a phone call, or panic sets in and I go hibernate. It may be gloomy, but sometimes life can be just too much green :)

She's got it bad cos that bloody grass grows and grows.
It's like someone gives you a garden and a lawnmower, but no instructions.

Yes, pretty much. Thanks
A change of outlook. Green for growth. Excruciating green, full steam ahead. All good wishes. Smiling at this upbeat little poem
