My mind was reeling. His caws still rung in my ears. I couldn't believe it.

I took out my cell phone and considered calling Claira. If I told her about what I just saw,would she think I'm crazy? Maybe.

I stared up at the clock on my wall. Tick. A passing second. Tick. Another. Tick. This is madning!

I dialed Claira's number.

"Hello?"

"Oh thank the lord."

"What did he ever do for me?"

I frowned. "He did everything for you. Anyway,I didn't call for that."

Claira sighed into my ear. "Than why in the world did you. Is this about Erik? Did you change your mind about kicking his foster parents..."

"No but yes,it's about Erik. I..er..saw him and...."

"What? Was he making out with someone else?"

I gasped,mortified. "Why assume the worst?"

"Sorry."

Okay. You can do this. "Erik is a raven,you know,half bird." I whispered,as if someone would hear.

"What?"

"I said,Erik is half raven, bird or something."

"Sky,your breaking up."

I screamed into the phone. "Erik is half raven!!"

*Click*

"Hello Skylar."

I turned around,dropping the phone to the floor when I caught sight of him. A male stood in my room. He had the head of a raven but thats it.

I opened my mouth to scream but my throat felt like a thick wall jammed itself into it. My hands flung to my lungs,fingernails digging into my skin. I was trying to pierce a hole so I could breath.

"You cannot tell anyone about what you just witnessed,understand?"

I nodded,my face becoming red.

"If you say anything,I'll cut your life line short."

He went to my window. "Remember, your only human. Us ravens know everything." Than he jumped out.

The wall in my throat collasped and I fell to my knees,air flooding my lungs.
