"

Tenth President of the United States of America

"
John Tyler was number 10.
He was surprised to become president.
He was playing marbles when he found out.
We will never know if he finished that game or not.
John Tyler was interviewed by Edgar Allen Poe.
The interview was not a success.
Edgar Allen Poe was roaring drunk.
I wonder if they ever finished the interview?
John Tyler renamed his Virginia plantation Sherwood forest.
He called it that because his Robin hood role in politics.
John Tyler however, was considered a enemy of the US at one time. How?
Well, He was elected to be a member of the confederate congress. oh boy!
John Tyler's first wife died while he was still in office.
He later met Julie his next wife and her father on a boat.
There was a massive gun shot that hit Julie's father.
She was so over come she fainted right into his arms.
John Tyler loved children there is no doubt.
In fact he had 15 of them.
He had 7 with his first wife Letitia.
8 with Julie his second wife.
John Tyler was once called Honest John.
They said he was incorruptible.
If that is so then why did his own party kick him out?
The Whig party kicked him out because he alienated them.
So this is John Tyler.
He was liked and hated.
He loved children.
John Tyler a surprised president.

Hey, don't discriminate Edgar Allan Poe. His mom died of TB and his dad deserted him. Then his adoptive mother died of TB and his adoptive dad deserted him. His adopted dad only gave him enough money to go to the US; when he got there, he had no money. He tried to win some by gambling, but ended up in deep debt. Later his wife died of TB. He had a reason to drink so much. After his wife died he disappeared for a few days and when he was found on the steps of some building (idr which) he was drunk and very sick. He died the next morning.

Edgar Allan Poe is a literary genius! Don't ever call him a raging drunk again!

(sorry for my rant, I just really like EAP)

I like the description of this President. You taught me quite a bit about this man. I like how you are describing each President. A different view then I heard before. Thank you for the story of a good man. We could use a few honest men in Washington D.C.
