James A Garfield is number 20.

He was only in office for less than 6 months.

He didn't get to do much as president.

I wonder if he owned a dog named Odie?

James A Garfield learned to read at 3 years old.

He was a teacher before becoming president.

He even write with both hand at the same time in different languages.

One smart and talented cookie.

James A Garfield spoke seven languages.

He was the first left handed president.

He was the poorest president.

He was called preacher president because he could speak in public.

James A Garfield's last days were in bed.

He was shot by an assassin.

He ended up dying from blood poisoning.

I guess someone was on target.

We didn't get much from James A Garfield.

With all this smarts I am sure he would have done some great things.

We will never know though.

Another bites the dust.

I love the ending to this poem. It made me giggle to myself. Poor James Garfield.
