James Madison ( President #4) (1809-1817)

James Madison ( President #4) (1809-1817)

A Chapter by MandaBear
"

Fourth President of the United States of America

"
James Madison was number 4.
They say he was poor.
He was friends with Thomas Jefferson.
They were both fathers of this nation.

I bet you didn't know he was the lightest president.
Only weighing a mere 100 pounds.
He was a Port Conway, Virginia resident.
He had to flee from the Britain's when they came to town.

He was the second cousin twice removed from George Washington.
Doesn't that sound like fun.
He is also second cousin to Zachary Taylor.
As far as I can tell he was not a tailor.

He helped write the Federalist papers.
James Madison was also principal author of the Bill of Rights.
He even lend a hand to the Constitution.
You could say he liked writing papers.

James Madison fell in love with a woman named Dolly.
He was quite to her load.
She was social to his antisocial.
She loved him and he loved her.

He had 11 siblings.
He being the oldest of them all.
When he married his dear old dolly,
He was 17 years older than her.

This is your Fourth president.
I hope you were not bored.
Even if you are reading this in the present.
James Madison I am sure would like to be adored.
