Letter 7: To My Ex-Crush

Dear River,

It’s funny that I write to you in the same category that my best friend wrote to you in her own letter project. So…I actually liked you after a really bad relationship. And you likes me after a bad relationship .You were interested. VERY interested. Talk to me on Facebook constantly, texting me with your friends phone. Finding every opportunity that you could to talk to me. You said I was different than any girl you ever knew. That I was modest, beautiful, charming and a light you never saw before. And you were someone that I was attracted to. You were cute, sweet, genuine and overall a charming guy and some one the believed in a God. I thought you would be a good thing in my life after so much bad happened in the past. We could have had a good thing you know? But what was your deal breaker? Me wanting to be baptized to become apart of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints? Me believing in a God, A Savior (Jesus Christ), and the testament of the Bible? Everything you believe in but I choose to believe it in a way different than yours. I think you got scared from the idea that you might have liked a Mormon Girl. You tried to talk me out of it and once you realized you couldn’t, you lost interest. But I think it was for the best. I didn’t know Mia had a thing for you and that could have created problems for both if us. I have to give you kudos however for out of the blue apologizing for your actions. It was a mature thing to do and I appreciated it. Maybe we could still be friends but I hope I was something in your life that showed that just because we believe in the same thing but in different ways, doesn’t mean it should affect how you react to them. I hope you end your Senior year on the right note
