The Finale of the Sixth Grade Year

"
"Go, Fast!" Eli said as the group arrived at the beach. The four sprinted across
the beach towards the first of four hotels Lee could possibly be in. They
arrived at the front door and walked inside. They looked around, no one was in
the lobby except for the receptionist who was in a backroom.
"Move!" Eli whispered. The squad ran to the front desk and gained access to a
computer.
"Kate, find out if Lees here." Eli said to Emily.
"Kate? Who's Kate?"
"s#%$& sorry, Emily find out."
Emily gave Eli a weird look and went on to the computer, searching for Lee.
"Sooooo.... Who's Kate?" Luke asked.
"Doesn't matter Luke." Eli growled, anger in his voice.
"Aww... is it your girlfriend?" Luke taunted.
"Shut up!" Eli said angrily.
"Or is it..." Eli slammed Luke up against a wall.
"You shut the f#%$& up before I kill you!" Eli shouted "It's my business who Kate
is and if I wanted to tell you I would. But in case you haven't realized. I
don't intend to tell you!"
"Alright, Alright just let me down." Luke said.
Eli lowered Luke onto the ground, surprised by his own strength. "I'm sorry.
It's just a personal issue." Eli said to Luke, looking down.
"No, no man I understand. Now should we leave before the hotel worker gets
back?"
"No." Emily said "Lee is here."

The four made their way to the elevator. They stepped inside and pressed the
button for the top floor. Floor 36.
"Carter." Eli said over the radio.
"Yes Eli."
"Where are you right now?"
"I'm circling the first hotel, about a three miles off the ground."
"Alright, I want evac from the roof of the first hotel in 15 minutes.
Understand?" Eli said.
"Copy, evac 15 minutes. Good Luck Eli."
"Good Luck to you too Carter."

The squad exited the elevator, "Zeta scan the area."
"Scanning." Zeta announced "There are 52 armed soldiers present."
"Something tells me this is going to be a lot harder than we thought it would
be." Claire said.
"Yeah, you can say that again." Eli answered.
"What's the plan?" Luke asked.
Eli began to think, not wanting his squad to be in too much danger, but knowing
that was impossible. "Zeta where is Lee located?"
"Room 3651" Zeta answered almost immediately.
"What room is that?" Emily asked looking at the closest door. Luke walked over
and checked.
"3601."
Eli knew exactly what to do. "Everyone, equip silencers."
Everyone placed Silencers on their MP5 sub machine guns. Operation School had
not yet mass produced any SMG's, so MP5's were used by a majority of Operation
School.
"We clear the 36th floor, one room at a time. The first room is 3601, let's go."
The group moved towards the door. "Claire, break us in."

Claire began to pick the lock, using only a screwdriver.
"Once she opens the door, weapons free. Understand?" Eli said.
"Understood." His squad replied.
The door opened, the squad entered. They saw two men sitting on the bed and one
in the bathroom. The squad opened fire, killing them all near silently.
"Let's hope the other rooms didn't hear those shots." Eli said. The squad
continued onto the next room.

The mission continued, mostly like that, for awhile. There were a couple scares
here and there, like a soldier managed to shout or let of a shot. But nothing to
Serious so far. The squad had just entered room 3645, and upon exiting, found
themselves face to face with about 30 or 40 enemy soldiers.
"s#%$&!" Eli shouted, opening fire. He dived into room 3645's doorway, bullets
flying by his head. The squad was trying to push back the Special Operations,
but they were horribly outnumbered, and the Special Operations were advancing.
"Hold them back!" Eli shouted.
"Ahhhh!" Eli heard from next to him. He looked over and saw Claire, clutching
her stomach, rolling around on the floor.
"Claire!" Eli shouted.
"Leave her Eli!" Luke said from behind him.
"Are you crazy!" Eli shouted back.
"Are you? Do you want to get pumped full of bullets saving someone who's done
for anyway? If so, be my guest."
Eli was silent, but returned to firing on the Special Operations while Claire
was riddled with bullets.

The fighting continued for a half hour. The squad had managed to push back their
enemies and were nearing room 3651.
"Almost there, come on!" Eli shouted, trying to boost Luke and Emily's morale.
"Yeah whatever." Luke said.
The squad finally arrived at room 3651. Eli didn't hesitate and broke down the
door. As he ran in, he heard a gunshot ring out, and Luke shot in pain. He
looked forward to see Lee, climbing off the rooms outdoor balcony and into a
helicopter. Lee was reloading a .44 magnum revolver, Elis revolver. Eli and Kate
opened fire on the helicopter but it was to late, it was gone.
"f#%$&!" Eli shouted in frustration. He ran over to Luke and began to pick him
up.
"No Eli." Luke said.
"What?"
"I said no. You and Emily call Carter and get out of here." Luke picked up his
MP5, stood up, and reloaded it. To stand he had to hunch over, obviously because
of his injury.
"I'll be fine." He said.
"You won't."
"Does it matter?"
Eli, couldn't argue with that. And if Luke wanted to die, that was his business.
"Goodbye Luke." Eli said. "Carter I'm planting a flare, I need you to pick us up
there. We are chasing down Lee. He isn't getting away."

Within moments, Eli and Emily were on the Phoenix. They looked back at the hotel
room and could see bullets flying out the windows.
"You didn't have to leave him." Emily said, sadness in her voice.
"What was I supposed to do!" Eli shouted, obviously stressed out by everything.
Everything from being kicked out of his home, to having to go on another
mission, to being in Operation School in general. It was all crashing down on
him. He couldn't control himself.
"All I wanted to do was keep you safe! Do you think I wanted Luke or Claire to
die! Do you think I wanted my first squad to be killed! Thank god Kate survived,
I don't even know how. I didn't want any of this. When they gave me the option
to join Operation School, I should have said no. At least, Lee should have
killed me when he had the chance!"
"Eli, none of that's true."
"It's all true! Why do you think my parents kicked me out of my house!" Eli was
having a breakdown, it was all to much. "I can't protect them, Michael,
Caroline... f#%$&! It's not worth it, I just want everything back to normal!" He
was crying, his face was red and covered in tears.
"Eli, you are one of Operation School's best..." Zeta began, but Eli cut him
off.
"Shut the f#%$& up Zeta! What good are you!"
"No Eli! He's right. You are one of Operation Schools best."
"Name one reason." Eli said, calming down. Emily walked up to him, his hair was
all ruffled and messy so she smoothed it out for him.
"Well for one thing, you carried a wounded friend almost two hundred miles until
you found medical attention. I don't know anyone who's done that."
Eli didn't say anything. He stopped crying and his face became less flustered.
"You also helped in the destruction of the Arc's capital ship. That's pretty
impressive, don't you think?"
Eli continued to not answer, but he had calmed down. Emily smiled, at least he
was sane again.

"Sir. Lee's helicopter spotted!" Carter shouted back to Eli.
"Take it down!" Eli shouted back.
"Understood!"
Carter increased speed and flew towards the helicopter. He flew in right behind
it, the streets of Miami below. And opened fire. The helicopters tail broke off
and it began spinning out of control.
"Alright!" Carter shouted, then he noticed where the out of control helicopter
was headed. "s#%$&."

The helicopter and Phoenix collided, head on. The two crashed down into the
streets of Miami. They took out several cars as they did so.

Eli opened his eyes. He saw flaming wreckage all around him. He couldn't see
Emily or Carter anywhere. He had to get out. He looked around for any sort of
opening. He found a small one, one he could just barley squeeze through. Eli
climbed through the hole and onto the street. He crawled out of the wreckage and
began to crawl towards the sidewalk. He heard a shot ring out, and massive pain
in his back.
"Well, well, well. What do we have hear." Eli heard behind him. Lee walked in
front of Eli. "How are you Eli?" Eli could see the glistening of the .44 Magnum.
Lee noticed this, "Yes it's nice isn't it? Now Eli we have some catching up to
do. I haven't seen you since last... October is it? November maybe. Either way,
it's been a long time." Eli couldn't speak, the pain was too intense. Lee looked
like he had never been involved in a crash.
"Now Eli, I let you live last time. And all you do is come and try to kill me
again? Pity you lost your entire squad. Again."
No it couldn't be true. Carter and Emily just couldn't be dead.
"As much as I want to kill you Eli, I have already promised you to someone
else." Lee looked past Eli, and Eli heard a familiar voice.
"Thank you Lee, Eli will be the perfect subject for Project: Desolater."
Eli looked over and saw who it was, "Boyd..." Eli gasped. It was John Boyd.
"Yes, I know this must be a shocker Eli, but just trust me." Boyd said. Eli felt
something lifting him up.
"What I'm gonna do to you, is much more important than Operation School."

Eli felt himself get thrown into the back of a truck, still bleeding. "I'm going
to die." He thought.

Boyd appeared in the doorway, the only source of light. "Good-bye Eli."
Eli lunged for the doorway as John closed it. Eli was plunged into darkness.
