Migration Motives

“Where are you from?” You may have asked, or been asked, this very question. Many people migrate for various reasons, and have been doing so for thousands of years. They may migrate out of necessity or for other reasons. If a certain area became desolate and ran out of resources to support the people, the people would migrate to a new area with an abundance of resources. If the area was conquered, the people may flee and migrate to a new area for a fresh start, or be exiled, forced to leave, and begin a new life somewhere anew.  People from hundreds of years ago, or people of modern times all migrate. People migrate to look for a new life whether out of necessity or to have a new start.
