Chapter 22: Mothers Tort-*cough* Training

The day after our little confrontation my mother shut my father out of my room and told him 
that he was not allowed to come in for the next few days .... I had a bad premonition....

"So my sweetheart you should start learning princess etiquette ..."(Thelil)

"Eeeeh ? Mommy ? Is that punishment for lying to you ? "(Spera)

"My Sweetheart you do not want your opponent to know all your strengths even if you could kill him instantly, 
sometimes it is better to act as a weak woman. That is also one of your strengths. 
And even if you do not want to acknowledge it you ARE a princess and so you have the obligation to attend formal 
gatherings and you have to know how to behave on such occasions. 
It is even more important for you since you have demon blood in you and so that will aggravate any interactions 
you have with citizens of Solaris, and for the sake of diplomacy you have to behave ... 
DO you now understand WHY I want you to learn etiquette?"

"Yes, mother ... "*sigh*(Spera)

"Great *joyful smile and clapping her hands together while jumping a bit in the air*"(Thelil) 
*groan* (Spera)

"Now then your training will be divided into 5 topics . 
1. First impression and presence 
2. Posture 
3. Fine arts 
4. Protocol and 
5. Conversation

"Now Sweety do you have questions ?"(Thelil) 
"Yes. Mother what exactly do these topics entail and how long do I have to do this "training" ?"(Spera) 
"Of course my sweetheart ... First of all, you will do this training as long as I deem it necessary 
do we understand us, young lady ?" (Thelil) 
"YES MOTHER !" (Spera) scary !!!

" Well, the first topic First impression and presence is about your appearance and how you must maintain 
an air of dignity at all times. We will start dressing you up early in the morning and I want you to look 
presentable in the evening. I will also teach you about the significants of certain colors and which jewellery 
matches which dress and shoes.

*groan*

Now the second topic posture is about exactly that. I will teach you the right posture which you have to 
maintain at all times and we will increase the time each day for how long you will have to keep it.

The fine arts are the topics art,dancing,music,horse riding, and literature. 
For that, we will start with art and literature. You are just two years old so the other topics are a bit dangerous for you. 
I will start reading you books on different topics and you will have to grasp the content of them and 
learn the written language ... I have noticed that you are very interested in books and always wanted to see 
the letters when I read to you so if I am not wrong you can understand and speak our language 
but you can not read it right ?"

"Yes but I can also understand other languages ... For example elven language." 
Suddenly my mother had a pained expression and changed the topic 
Interesting there has to be a story behind that reaction ... Well, she will tell me when she is ready ... I think

"Ok, the fourth topic is protocol. It entails all the information you will need for a formal gathering and 
how to conduct yourself. Most importantly you will have to learn when you will have to do what and how to 
position yourself accordingly to the group you are in . For example, when your father, you and me are going 
to a gathering. 
Your father will walk in the front, I will walk a step behind him to the left 
and you walk two steps behind him to the right ... Do you understand ?"

"Yes ... This has to do with hierarchy right ?"

"Yes, that is right ... Oh, you are so smart *cuddle,cuddle* Urg sorry... OK, the last topic..." 
Hey, mom aren't you switching to fast ? 
".... Conversation .... I will start talking with you differently in these lessons and will ask 
you about a variety of information and I want you to remember at least three to 
four important pieces of information by heart for each different subject of conversation. 
Now sweety do you have something to ask before we start ? *khu huhu*"

"Mommy do you love me ?" 
"Of course, Sweety I love you very much *smile* Now let's start ..."

.... And so my daily torture began at the hands of my smiling mother .....
