The Voices

They'll pound, they'll screech, they'll do anything they can...until they finally get to me.

You might think I’m crazy

You can say that I’m insane

The Voices in my head scream at me

“YOU LIKE OUR LITTLE GAME?”

They’ll laugh at me,

They say everything I do 

Needs to change

They’re driving me crazy

My thoughts need to rearrange

I found a puzzle

But it’s missing a piece

Kinda like me,

I’m missing my peace

I miss being happy

I miss being carefree

Now, all it is is 

“STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!”

Can’t my brain rest? 

Kick back and sigh?

“NO, GET UP!

NOW GO FIND YOURSELF A GUY!”

Shut up, Voices!

You’re making me mad

But, of course, at my self-esteem

They’ll stab, stab, stab.

“You need more makeup!

Your face is too wide!

Don’t smile at that mirror!

You’re UGLY, don’t feel pride!”

I’ll grab my head

‘N’ pull at my hair

The Voices

They try to get to me

Please, just let me be

Let me be free

Go somewhere else! 

I don’t want you here!

All you do is heckle and jeer!

I’m tired of your insanity

Please! GO AWAY!

Stop haunting me!

Or I’ll make you pay!

Grab a gun off my dresser

Puts it to my head

BOOM!

Ya happy now, Voices?
Oh, wait…

Self-doubt is truly the f*****g worst and I hate how powerful it can be sometimes. But we all need to find ways to fight it. For you is clearly creating beautiful pieces of art that resonate with so many people. You just get it - you know? You have those voice that's coz you can't find things in yourself that you love about,
Competitive you to others all the time, that where the voice comes from you.

We all different you must have something other people don't have , maybe others compares you to them, they have the same voice inside too

Find out what you truly love to do, either make money or not just do that, have to be something that truly makes you happy inside.
keep doing it coz one day that will bring you stuff you never imagine.

When you did something impressed yourself, then those voice will be shut the f**k up .

I appreciate this review. I've recently found out that writing makes me happy. Reviews for my writings make me happier than anything. My own writing honestly impresses me. I've written things, and I've read over them and I think, "How did I write that??"

I've heard these sorts of voices from time to time, but I've always been able to shut them up rather quickly. Part of it is knowing that it's normal and that other people are going through the same thing. Thus, sharing this is doing a service to others, letting them know they're not alone.

I like to put out poems that people can be able to relate to. "Society's Rules" is probably one of my favorite ones. I like to put out poems of crazy things that let people know that they're not alone. Thanks for your review!
