"What's wrong?"

"What's wrong?"

A Chapter by Nix is typing...

“What’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong?”

Can’t I just say, “I’m tired”

Instead of answering what you've inquired?

Be done with this subject

Please don’t object or suspect

Something’s wrong

My mind’s not as strong as it once was

Because all that time I spent “buzzed”

Was really all just B.S.

And I can’t help but stress

But I can attest to needing to feel loved

Because I shoved all my emotions down

In a box that’s overflowing

Never knowing when they’ll spill

When things go downhill

But you just pushed me away when I cried

I tried to let you in, let you see my dark side

But you replied, “One more word of that,

And I’m leaving”

I guess you didn’t know that my chest was heaving

I had trouble breathing,

I was crying, trying to let you know all of me

Trying to let you see

The locked room where I never wanted you to be

But I guess you’re just not ready...

Perhaps we all have little locked rooms where others rarely tread in the corridors of our head. Traces of these places give a scent of where we went, and let us know where we will go. If you let someone in to one of these rooms and they slam the door... It might be quite hurtful. A heart full of pain. Disdain is an easy dog to feed but we need to sow seeds in the pots in these rooms or sadness looms and madness dooms us. Whoever would do this to you has no clue (but now they're probably blue for want of you).

Excuse my language but this is f*****g awesome.
I can relate to this poem and also just feel the emotions. The sadness, trying to express yourself but not knowing how to.

Beautiful poem.
Have a nice day!

This is incredibly sad. Some just aren't concerned for others at all, or won't listen.

I have an issue I must admit... a box or a wayward button is like candy to me:) I can stare at them... say to myself I don't care what's in the box or oh never mind what that switch does! but the button is there I turn my head and I see it... I see what it may be, or what's inside... what that could be and then the sweat starts to pour down my forehead and sully my fluffy bunny fur! soon I get so hot and angst full that thoughts start to dripping down my head they could even hang a sign that says this button or box contains nothing or does nothing of consequence and I still will be sweating it out:/ eventually they might change the sign to this box contains bunny killing gas or this switch is an instant Rabbit eradicator and I still won't be able to control myself I will have to push the button or open the box:/ I am not the smartest bunny but its true dear Nix sometimes it's best to keep the box closed and switch fastened and securly closed I have just never been good at knowing when

sometimes its best to let it all out .. to yell it from the rooftops .. and other times, its better to keep shtum .. the trick is, knowing what time it is at all times ............... a cool bit of self disclosive poetry here :)

Sometimes we need time to quiet our minds and figure out exactly why we are feeling or reacting the way we do.
Many time we can’t find the right words to explain it.

Everyone is broken in their own way. It doesn’t matter what or where you came from no one gets out unscathed. So people are not equipped to handle certain emotional issues or other problems. They don’t understand it nor do they know how to deal with it. Doesn’t mean it feels good when it happens.

Too much talking I have found leads to more problems. Sometimes we just need some silence. Peace of mind or to mull things over without having to explain our actions. Felt you here Nix and appreciated the flow, tone and great use of internal rhyme. We'll done.

Yep, there's end rhyme and internal and like you I use both :)
sometimes we lock our feelings away because we just cannot express them...or we can't talk about
what is wrong because we really aren't sure ourselves....been there, done that.
Silence is Golden sometimes..and sometimes it is fool's gold.
