five minutes more

five minutes more

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

inspired by the song, among other things

"

I hear that song

and in my mind

I see your face ...

and I know instantly,

I never again
want to be
with anyone

who doesn't

make me crave

another 5 minutes
in their embrace.

It's beautifully done....Ah I would always say 10 mins more hehehe.... :p 5 mins seems less...
Just stay 10 mins more....That's why your title pulled me here.... :)
And when you can never get enough of their hugs and kisses....That's what we end up saying ... few more mins.... at doorsteps of heaven...

Thank you for appreciating my little love note
This might be small but definitely impactful. There's no pretense in it, a straightforward gesture. Good work

Pretense isn't my style. Thank you for reading and reviewing. :)
Minutes and hours, we try to make them a lifetime, if we could with someone we need. Wonderful and kind words shared dear Lyn. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are right. Seconds and minutes leave us wishing for more and you are welcome Lyn.
So beautifully encapsulating the complexities of all we are and have been, and always will be. Life can be good and life can be bad, but whatever or whoever comes our way, we will never settle for someones second best. Standards should never lower to anothers level, they should be head to head and side by side. Equal.
Beautifully captured.
