Chapter Eighteen: Unanswered Riddles

I came home, and right away it felt hotter than normal. I peeled my shirt off and went to grab a cup of water. I drank, sat down at the table, grunted, and stood back up to go to bed.

 

I rested my head, my arm popping off.

 

"Reaallly starting to miss my AutoMail," I whisper as I pop it back into place. I lay my head down, my eyes heavy.

 

I miss my AutoMail...and the smile behind it.

 

As I drift off to sleep I think about two things:

 

1) The couple Alfons was bringing home.

2) A saying stuck in my head ever since I got here.

 

It was confusing (still is) so I always try to think about it from different angles.

 

That one saying, I believe, holds the key to me getting back home.

 

That one saying keeping me and Koda torn apart.

 

That one saying that I will forever hate.

 

"Break free from the hands that tie you down, Ed. If you do that, the truth hidden behind the mirror with reveal itself."

 

Do you know what it means?

Yeah I didn't think you did.

If I can't do it, you can't either.

Yes, I just called you stupid.

Get over it.
