love affair

Writing is a relationship. At first, it's for love. You try new things to keep it fresh. After a while, there's a boring period. You step away from each other for a bit. In the end, you rely on each other. That's the difference between a lusty romp of egotistical desire and a long term commitment. Pounding the f*****g s**t out of her words is fun and all, but listening to her story is what it's all about.

This is so Damn true. Sometimes the book becomes your best friend and words fly off your fingers. Other days it laughs at you and tells you that you can't write anymore. But in the end you make up and carry on with the love affair which you have with the book.

I like how simple this piece was BUT also said one hell of a lot.
