In the dark of night...

something from my very first poems, translated to english

Dark blackness of night,
Demons crawl out for a fight.
Its no fair, i'm broken in mind.
It comes together with fright.
Freezing cold in the devil's night.
I wait, in the chains of covers,
For chaos, as fear lowers
Its evil face
So my sanity will fade...
Dark blackness of the devil's night...

Infernal, I am trying to get a feel for it. You lose me in the "chains of covers' and then I pick up the Devil's night theme again. I have done several re-reads, but You know what you are saying and I cannot grab it!

Hi there. Yeah...well, sleep paralysis is a chaotic experience.
So the poem is chaotic too. My experiences were full of motives relating to hell and the devi... And the chains of covers stands for not being able to move, but there is nothing visible there holding you down while you are paralyzed...so the covers feel heavy... Like chains.

Okay... Lets see if i can explain... Meaning behind the poem, you wake up, in your bed, with a blanket covering you. You can't move...not even your head or your fingers...breathing becomes hard. And comes the worst part, the things most people see only in horror movies or in their nightmares, are played in front of your eyes, live, in three dimensions. Like it was reality... So its like intensive hallucinations, that can't be distinguished from reality all until something happens that can only happen in dreams. Is it now a little more clear? oh...and there is one more thing...the false wake ups. When you think you're awake...but then something impossible happens...and you wake up...hopefully that time for real.

It is really really dark stuff. And at the age of fifteen, I've seen a lot of these nightmares-ish stuff... Anyhow, look it up on google, and you'll find a lot of others who been through similar things.

Its not always dark... Sometimes its only a few seconds of being paralyzed...but it usually is terrifying. Especially the part when i think i woke up...and then the drawers fly out from their place..obviously that can't happen in reality. And then i wake up for real. But sometimes there are more false wake ups like i wake up from a false wake up only to find that i'm still paralyzed... Yep, its crazy.

Nope, the guy who thought he can help gave up on me... No medication helps, nothing stops it. When it happens, it happens no matter what i do before it does.

Science has no proper explanation about the source of this, and has no cure to offer. But writing helps to handle the after effects. One of the things it leaves behind is depression.
