Saudade

Saudade

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Experimental. Not really satisfied by this. Might be editing later still. Late morning scribbles. Sensual write...

"
I crave ~ guilty pleasures,
distracting myself from
the inevitable

at dawn, a memory flashes;
drifts across oceans apart,
setting my heart ablaze.

At last, release --- it brings about
a new me ~ wild, ecstatic
exploring boundaries on the edges
of dangerous waters - floating ...

at last, relief; sighing --- still I feel
my heart convulse; in the early morning hours,
a long forgotten yearning
finally ~ fulfilled...

This has always been one of my most favourite words.
I always puzzled over it's actual meaning - until I met 'The One' and then I realised that she was not destined to be mine, at least not in this life...

Such eloquent phrasing and a real sense of that word here in this one my friend.

There are many things that hold these hands, and oh, if only it could latch on to another. Perhaps this write will seep the blood stream of those who do not know. Dangerous and Guilty is really the only reason to be alive

why is it that the love that is forbidden (for whatever reason) is the one we crave most, the one that excites us most.

I wonder the same... thank you for your words here, Jacob. Appreciated (:
I like the taut intensity of the writing, putting into words the tension and arousal leading to the climax and release. And I love the feeling of elation, of the new me, the fulfillment.

Thank you so much for feeling this write, Jibey. Appreciated 😊
This word has lived in me for some years now. Saudade, the Portuguese word for aching, longing for something you may never have, or never find again. And your words awaken an ecstatic meaning, the cravings, the hunger, taking you to the very edges of your soul. May you always seek those edges and beyond to carry you ever to fulfillment. Do not let this world hold you to the dirt and stone. So powerful.
