A Tale ~ of Forbidden Love

With smiles and laughs that tinted her cheeks,

she adorns this earth in beauty and grace.

With fingers that trail on notes to speak,

and music which fell right back in its place.

When winds sang songs of love in the air,

hearts then rejoiced in each other's embrace.

Vanished abrupt, as if never there,

creases which danced between the forehead space.

In picturesque beauty like the night skies,

she walked, vowing to holy gods above,

stroking  scars unfaded on her thighs;

wrote 'pon stars, a tale ~ of forbidden love.

This poem is a beautiful piece. Very well thought-out, the rhymes coincide together nicely and the poem overall has a very smooth rhythm to it. The picture chosen is nice as well as the imagery painted. Though overall the subtle implication of suicide (it seems) is there, and a sad thing to think on as to what this "forbidden love" could be.

Thanks for sharing, look forward to seeing more of your work.

It was lovely my friend, very lovely indeed..
These words that flow from you here seem to come from ancient spaces. Thoughts of stars guiding the soul, awakening paths for the feet to now forbidden places, dark spaces of the life. It is a haunting beauty that is covered in scars, the survivor of pain still forging a place in this world. Profoundly moving, dear poet, dear friend.

nice rhyme scheme makes this flow so nicely...and the passion is felt in the song...

i always associate love with music....the two go hand in hand like a couple dancing in the moonlight.
