The Beginning of a New Tomorrow

The Beginning of a New Tomorrow

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay

The world had always
clawed at her deepest desires,
wherein she kept them
hidden in her heart
,

afraid, that if she voiced them,
she would be rendered dumb;
robbed of the power of her voice..
.

until, it dawned on her;
to be fearless and to
rely on her strength.

And she stood
facing the shore
,
as a
 deep calm washed over her
.
The beginning of a new tomorrow
;

the
 rising sun glowing in her eyes
,
a
s she took in the beauty of the world
.
She had missed it; among all the chaos
...

now
she embraces it.
A sigh crosses her lips,
as she vows,
to never let go...

So profound and beautiful! The image and the words reflect each other...Lyrical form and flow- lovely and original! "The world had always clawed at her deepest desires"...she may have retreated to heal....she recovered and re-entered a better, stronger self..."she vows never to let go"...Love it! Brava!

Aloha YumnaKay, tomorrow is magic because no one is promised tomorrow it's a hope. So to advance fearlessly means honouring every moment. Stunning poem and your image makes me feel homesick. Izzy

Makes me want to believe that the good is there always, you just have to wake up and see it. Wonderfully done. I love the ocean

I love the message of this piece; it calls for strength and for confidence in the face of adversary. A poignant and well penned write to stir the spirits of even the weakest of souls! Great write!

Jacob, thank you for your kind words on this piece. I'm humbled at your appreciation...
Learning to go for it is a powerful thing to posses. To put all cares aside and release your inner desires heals.

Nicely written poem here YumnaKay.

YK! You iz back, I was most worried... What ever would this site be without your smiling... Words...? Face...? Whatever... Strength and inner poise radiate through each syllable drop in the lines... Chaos and abandon... Very well penned...
