Chapter Twenty-Five: Leo

Mars 4 May 23nd

I wake up, gasping for breath. This nightmare was the worst one yet. I can still feel the claws digging at my chest, the power draining out of me. Then I realize I feel drained in reality. Fumbling for the bedside lamp, I flick it on. No one in the room. Then I feel a pinch on my arm. Looking down, I see a needle stuck in my arm. The other end is attached to a draining machine. There’s a note on the machine, but before looking at it, I jerk the needle out of my arm and use my electrical powers to draw the powers inside back to me. Then I read the note. It isn’t very legible, but I get the gist of it.

Arx has escaped. Again.
