Poem 36. DECOYA Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)In a Man’s ViewpointI gasped the sweet scent of her perfume My eyes widened in the delight displayed before my eyes She called my name And like a lamb I bowed down To taste the sweet flower of desire.
We danced and danced Every moment seems in flame I thanked the moon and the stars For being our silent watchers In the union of our thirsty souls.
The moment I looked at her face I saw her mysterious grin And I felt there’s something missing in me My body!
I’m now a soul Held by her inside a jar And I can do nothing but to shout But nobody can hear my cry. I believed in a lie The face behind those smiles A bait for my pure heart Now I am a victim Of my naiveté
Forever.
