Tomb

Tomb

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Ramblings of a tired mind. Spontaneous write.

"
how meaningless
everything seems;
life a full stop,
and bodiless souls
break midair,

sentences lag
behind mouths
tracing and clutching
upon thin air;
exhaled,

and what
could have been a
tiresome rant,
oddly satisfying
in some way,
still kept;

the heart
a tomb,
with markings
engraved

and tears,
my tears, which resemble
the gentle outpour of rain.

I very much missed our Café & still have little black-outs where I wonder how long it will be gone this time!?!? Glad to be back & reading you again. This is a graceful scattering of sweet drops which can be read in a variety of ways. For me, it feels like a prolonged bout of sighing on account of the way things can feel jarring & maybe even not worth participating in, with the way intolerance can be bantered about in our day-to-day interactions. Sometimes it's better to just have a little crying jag & rinse away the frustrations! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Sometimes, emotions lie quiet, exhausted perhaps, stretched beyonds what- and wherever. No further comment, think these words echo betwen their own space. Not going to guess although...

As akways, you've shared what you can - for now. Hugs for a better moment. Me, Em .

No problem Yumna, keep it up! :)
sublime Doc...some things are not meant to be shared says i....even for the poets and songwriters ;) V2 made me think of "morning breath" and too groggy to put thoughts together at all ... need coffee ;)
but the rest turned to such deep introspection ..disregarding those internal/external rants we all drive ourselves crazy with ... spontaneous can sometimes be the very best eh!? enjoyed reading for sure

This is such an intense poem with emotion conveyed strongly in every stanza it leaves me captivated - I'm not even kidding. The second and fourth stanzas resonate with me the strongest and the final stanza is absolutely powerful. I'm honestly wondering if I can think of something that could even come close to the power of that writing. There are such good writers here... awesome work! :)
