Fighting Back

Fighting Back

A Chapter by DavidRyanM

I heard the branches crack under the weight of his feet.

I froze and surveyed my surroundings but didn't see

anything. That must be when he caught me in his cross-

hairs. I felt the pinch on the side of my head and had

to lie there, breathing heavily, as the deer hoofed over

to me and broke my neck. "This is for your own good,"

he had said, the scent of grass heavy on his breath. I now

watch him parade around in his robe from my view on his

wall.

How did I miss this piece? It's awesome! The tension is thickly laid on and makes me feel itchy.. Then the ending.. Gut punch and wry smile as only you do

Reminded of Orwell's Animal Farm. Rebellious animals, the tables have turned! Awesome.

Dark humor again?

This poem has an interesting twist at the end and is described in a way that is very twisted indeed. Excellent.

A bit morbid but i like it. It has a different twist to it than the others.
