My car hit a patch of black ice. As I was spinning around, 
looking over the bridge - first out my driver's window and then out
the passenger's - I made promises to God about changing my life. 
When I stopped sliding and my car straightened out and pointed 
towards home, I broke every one of them.

lol. Love this. Who hasn't made promise to God during possibly life ending moments and then broke them? I really got the sensation of spinning thru your description of seeing the bridge out the window.
