Easy Chair

Easy Chair

A Chapter by DavidRyanM

It started with the nose bleeds. He bled on his pillow
and all over his satin blankets. He bled onto his work shirt
and also onto his shoes. His friends would often point
out that he had bled into his beer, or onto his plate. It ended
with him never going outside. Worried that life was trying to
take itself back from him, he gave it what it wanted.

A life in seclusion really isn't a life at all. This is megalomania begot from paranoia. The tie between blood and life is apparent, and unstoppable. Almost like a preservation from humiliation is in fact, sacrificing one's freedom. I think. Maybe I fell short on this one.
