Sheetrock

A Chapter by DavidRyanM

He listened to them every day
through the wall their apartments shared.
Heard their lovemaking, their fighting, their tears
and screams. He could tell when they were holding
each other in silence. Or when she would gently
kiss him goodnight. He moved his bed next to the wall
so he could fall asleep to the gentle rhythm of their lives.

i've been this lonely soul, aching for a stable centre, especially when lying awake at night, trying to place a meaning into why YOUR arms are empty and why your heart is less than occupied.

gosh.. i'm in love with your words.

I know we've already talked about this piece but I still thought that I should take time to formerly review it, so unfortunately you're probably just going to hear a lot of the same s**t over again. I apologize. This title rocks my socks, I'm jealous of its simplicity and yet ability to tell all. The ending line is what dominates this piece and gives it everything. "gentle rhythm of their lives" is absolutely gorgeous.

Yay for f*****g amazing writing! Why aren't we getting paid for this yet?

Starting a new profile. Just for the hell of it. I'm in love with writing and reading. They're both a huge part of my world and I wish more people were into both of them, or at least just one of them... more..
