Stone Cold

Stone Cold

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

........

"

Sometimes I miss you like crazy but then I think... is it even worth it?

I'm falling into a paranoia of emotions which is taking me to a place from where there is no return
.
I want to emerge from it, holding your hand, triumphant, that at last I have you etched on my soul

and with the knowledge that you'll be on mine forever...

I have been kept hanging by a thread of hope that I keep alive in my harrowing heart

~

while wallowing away in the grief of the knowledge that all that I did was for naught...

You kept me waiting and I kept on believing in you because I had no choice except to not believe.

You; who I had given my whole life to...

until
 ~
it turned cold and now it's nothing but an icy heart ~ stone cold...

So drastic and deep Yumna...
I feel all those emotions dwelling across the poem, you made the readers feel the wait of the person and how it's heart later turned stone cold.. fabulous!
I really like this poem :)
Keep it up Yumna!!!

Heartfelt words, painful and yet beautiful, filled with emotion. I love the art you chose to accompany your words. Lovely my friend. Julie

the longer we hold on to relationships in our head...ones long over, the less we solve the heart's dilemma and the more they just become cold cases...unsolved forever.

You're welcome!
Such a dramatic show of doubts and love.. a worry of wondering whether or not your and the other's emotions are right or wrong. Doubts but still wanting.

Fine writing, well laid and, as ever, specific in style. The accompanying picture is more than suitable!

You; who I had given my whole life to..."

This depicts sadness and longing in relationships perfectly. This happens all the time. Couples build their dreams and lives around each other, often feeling lost and forlorn when the relationship ends.

I like the way you wielded the emotions in this write; clear and on point. A good, reflective piece. Relatable also...
Your closing line could be a little sharper, I feel..but that's only my perception.
