Lunar || Remnants

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Late night scribbles.

"
Tonight
the moon exhaled
a sigh of relief.

How unbearable it had been,
gazing down at the Earth,
and what now remains of it...

Haunting. Uncomfortable to read. You held the mirror up in front of us and forced us to take a good long look at an undeniable truth. Great imagery. A true work of art.

Stunningly exquisite, meaningful, & well-stated! Your point-of-view is a slap in the face, it's so fresh! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Hello, Yumna! :)
Let's keep the moon from talking to the sun. Maybe we can get some brighter days.

This is unnervingly prophetic.

Well done in a bad way.

This is the most beautiful and the deepest one I have read in a while. Keep up the good work Dr. Kay.

As always, you see higher and clearer than mere words. Rather think you've set a few minds thinking and - that matters. Think at times, when the moon appears to have chunks taken from it.. it's remembering the meaning of 'empathy'.. Let's hope its tides will slowly, kindly, re.kindle its bounteous silver glow. We certainly need it.. and your words, dear Yumna.

Short but holds very deep meaning. It makes me think what the moon feels about us. I love the contrast situation you put here. There is a sigh of relief but then again it looks dispirited when it gazes down at the Earth.
A striking piece.

Yep, if only we could resore or earth impressions, this poem speaks volumes, with so little wording, very nicely done.

This poem is so perfect right now. It's sad but so lovely!
