Chapter 78

Chapter 78

A Chapter by Jemma Packman

Ethan in bed. Indigo sat on the bed next to him. Indigo puts the book on the night stand and says “Time to go to sleep now. You have school in the morning.”

Ethan says “Thank you for being at school today.”

“You’re welcome, buddy.”

“Momma, I think you should tell Cilla not to call me her prince.”

“Why’s that?”

“If Mommy’s your princess then I’m your prince, not hers. And I think Uncle Gaz gets upset that he doesn’t have a special name.”

“Ok, I’ll talk to her if you go to sleep.”

“Thank you, Momma. Goodnight. I love you.”

Indigo kisses Ethan’s forehead. “Goodnight, my prince.”

Indigo leaves Ethan’s bedroom and as she is shutting the door, Summer says “Don’t close it all the way.”

Indigo lets go of the door. “Sums, are you mad I didn’t remember your birthday?”

“No. I’m not a fan of my birthday.”

“You used to love your birthday.”

“Thing change. My birthday isn’t as important now I have Ethan. Besides, without you, nothing was important to me.”

“I’m here now.”

“Then that’s the best birthday present I can ask for.”

“Where’s Sabrina?”

“I don’t know. Why?”

“I don’t want to be interrupted improving your present.”

Indigo kisses Summer. “You think you can keep it down? We wouldn’t want to wake Ethan.”

“I don’t have to, but can you?”

“You want to try again after last time?”

“God, yes. Don’t you want to?”

Summer pulls Indigo towards her room. “Let’s go.”

“Eager much?”
