Poem 53. UnfaithfulA Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)(Another piece…as requested by a friend)The day I met you was the day I found my heart- I found it breathing and beating I heard it singing I saw it smiling I felt it’s joy With you.
You- It’s you who made me smile It’s you who made me laugh It’s you who made me live Yesterday.
Yes, only yesterday When you and I were so free To tap each others’ shoulder To hug each other tightly To laugh at each joke To sing and dance In the music of our souls As one.
And now… Do I have to open my eyes To see how different you are from yesterday? Do I have to pretend that we are both happy Singing and dancing while our hearts are full of gloom Colder than ice For the love was gone And what remain are the memoirs Of your unfaithful love?
