01. Profanity is the result of a weak mind trying to express itself forcibly.

02. Work is the curse of the drinking classes.

03. My Grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. She drinks it right out of the bottle - straight up !

04. Drinking makes such fools of people, and people are such fools to begin with, that it's compounding a felony.

05. Be wary of strong drink. It can make you shoot at tax collectors and miss.

06. Even though a number of people have tried, no one has yet found a way to drink for a living.

07. Fame won't necessarily win you friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy.

08. Between men and women there is no friendship possible. There is passion, enmity, worship, love, but no friendship.

09. A benevolent man should allow a few faults in himself, to keep his friends in countenance.

10. I have no trouble with my enemies. I can take care of my enemies all right. But my friends - they're the damned ones that keep me walking the floor at night !

11. A husband is what is left of the lover after the nerve has been extracted from him.

12. Many a man has fallen in love with a girl in a light so dim he could not have chosen a suit by it.

13. To be in love is merely to be in a state of perpetual anesthesia - to mistake an ordinary young woman for a goddess.

14. The perfect love affair is one which is conducted entirely and solely by mail.

15. The only true love is love at first sight. The second sight dispels the notion entirely.

16. Love is like any other luxury. You have no right to it unless you can afford it.

17. A drunk was in front of a judge. The judge says "You've been brought here for drinking." The drunk licked his lips eagerly and said "Okay, I'll start with a double scotch, please."

18. My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it !

19. Never tell a young person that anything cannot be done. God may have been waiting centuries for someone ignorant enough of the impossible to do that very thing.

20. The world cares very little about how much a man or woman knows; it is what that same man or woman is able to do with the knowledge that counts.

21. God does not ask about our ability, but our availability.

22. Adam's first law of survival when thrown from the garden of Eden: Get even first.

23. If you want it to happen, you must make it happen. If you let it happen, you won't like what happened.

24. I don't believe in luck. When I am diligent, my luck is generally good. When I am lax, my luck invariable turns bad.

25. A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, leaves before she is left, and forgets before she is forgotten.

26. Your freedom of speech carries with it some freedom to listen.

27. If you simply cannot make the right decision, make a decision and then make it right.

28. Graffiti is a pathetic attempt at anonymous recognition.

29. Your integrity is more precious than your life.

30. Do not be intimidated by a smart person. It is easier to debate an intelligent person than to argue with an idiot.

31. Do not fear lack of knowledge, talent or skill. Seek motivation - and the others will come.

32. You cannot win a game of tug-o-war by merely standing firm on your position.

33. Others have done it before me. I can too.

34. The journey is the reward.

35. No matter who you are, it's the simple things in life that lead you to believe that you can achieve anything.

36. The fellow who does things that actually count in the world, doesn't usually stop to count them.

37. We should spend our life for something which outlasts it.

38. A man may fulfill the object of his existence by asking a question he cannot answer, and attempting a task he cannot achieve.

39. We will either find a way, or we will make one ourselves.

40. To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

41. The greatest things are accomplished by individuals, not by committees or companies.

42. Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.

43. The measure of a man is the way he bears up under misfortune.

44. It's your aptitude, not just your attitude that determines your ultimate altitude.

45. The successful person makes a habit of doing what the failing person doesn't like to do.

46. The whole point of getting things done is knowing what to leave undone.

47. What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.

48. Many men may can climb to the highest summits, but few can maintain and dwell there.

49. Death comes to all. But great achievements build a monument which shall endure until the sun grows cold.

50. Man is always more than he can know of himself; consequently, his accomplishments, time and again, will come as a surprise to him.
