Simply

I need to write

 

I write simply,

my emphasis has no emphasis

on shape or length

and fancy words I don’t fancy

when it just doesn’t feel right

 

I just write,

 

admiring great writes.

I orbit their meanings

and hum their song.

But I will not walk

in shadows

of great accomplishment

 

I too can share the light

Was this your exact thought process as you got writers block? lol This definitely feels more simplistic than your other poems, but still I don't think that's bad. I like the pattern you used for the stanzas too!

. absolutely ... genius lies in simplicity ... and you don't need to walk where you don't need to walk ... and the light you share ... well ... it makes your universe of verse glow ... this is beautifully written ...

I agree there are some great writes..i dont pretend fancy words ,they come to me..
i walked in their shadows..but strangely and quite not expecting..i did a job so great here and there..you dont have to walk with the giants,and act just like them
sometimes inspiration will come un hindered that you feel strange and odd how you could create as such..and certainly you could..no one is too great..some are just luckier than others..
