Wave-Off

Wave-Off

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

A common fly- some may not like it

"

not bothered

not even surprised

for I

think

understand the nature

of common flies

and these feet

have walked

many paths

some sensuous

pastures sprinkled with morning dew

others

not so much

synthetic sod

like some-one I once knew

Author's Note

Wondering Mind
The common fly’s life span averages around two weeks and has a memory span of 5 seconds.. Though they are very harmful, but certainly nature must have a purpose for them, thus I prefer patiance by waving them off over swatting

Lucky flies to be written about by a kind hand !
Oh nature has a purpose for all... but I have no purpose for flies in my kitchen ! lol But I understand your tender treatment of them...I am the same way for spiders..I take the little things outside ..its not their fault they scared me...
"Oh my my said the spider to the fly"... ( ;

Am getting to the age where that 5-second memory span doesn't sound as pathetic as it should.
Though I will continue swatting flies, I do appreciate your point. I just don't wish to be continually bedeviled by the filthy little monsters, nor do I have the patience to wait two weeks for them to "make the transition."
Still, WM, "Wave-off" is an extremely unique and artistically presented bit of work.

This shows you have patience and compassion. Perhaps too much patience and compassion. (I, for one, could not tolerate it)... intriguing write.
