Promises of a New Rise

Promises of a New Rise

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

My hometown to which I'm not "allowed" to return

"

Grant me your eastern delight,
let me wake to
promises of a new rise,
     whispers of time old tales,
                           the spicy tastes,
                                    the exotic essences,
                                the purest of gold,
the dark mystery in your eyes.

Let me forget in your warmth
the cold sunset of the west
the false glittery gold
                         and all the rest.

Come, let my heart rest,
            I crave your clear skies.

I long for the beauty in your eastern eyes

Oh, this brings tears to my eyes....how difficult it must be for you to be exiled from your land! My heart indeed aches as I read of your lament, and deep desires to return to that which is your home!
My feeble words are but my effort to let you know that I am sorry, and that your longing for that which you may not have does not fall on a cold heart! Tears of compassion!

.
. home is where the heart is ... but the aroma of home in your words and in your thoughts ... is so, so beautiful ... that i can feel this deep longing ...

i walk alone
towards my home
but i see no door
nor window

A tragedy in words, few words. It makes my heart ache to know how you feel.

There is too much to wonder at that glitters, there is too little at the oasis .. but it's there where we will find nourishment and hope.

Dear Wondering Mind,

This is a mavelous piece. It can be read on several different levels with several different interpretations. Extremely well done.

Now for you main thrust and meaning, that is wonderfully portrayed. I absolutely loved:

"the cold sunset of the west
the false glittery gold
and all the rest."

Sometimes I fear that this is what America loves, too, and not our deeper, inner strengths. We have forgotten much of our core ideals. I long for a return to a land that "loves mercy more than life" (from "America the Beautiful", a song often sung, but not nearly enough taken to heart).

Again, very well penned, my friend!

This was a great job. A homage the most beautiful one I have seen.

Thank you for your reviews > unfortunately I can read only first line for my PC is damaged and I communicate with blackberry {it technically wouldn't let me this old model}
I cannot rate your poem and I will rate when on PC. Regards

i understand you so well my ..what sadness and sickness one feels to be away from home, longing to get home
but he is not allowed for reasons beyond his mind to understand..lets wait if the world will ever see your misery
and know that when there is no justice on land ..then this land will never know any peace..so long as you and many others
will stay away from home..a place they were raised and lived a whole life dreaming that once they see it again
whoever could stand being away from home forever..its very tragic for things to come to be this cruel
i know one time you will be back to those wonderful memories that were taken away from you..and you will live live
the life that for so long you dreamed of..i just know..it may take time..but in the end you will be back
i feel for you my friend..

You know only to well how to pull at the heartstrings of hope...absolutely beautiful writing but then I have come to expect that with you! It is and will remain a joy to read your poems! I thank you for sharing and giving me just a taste to drizzle across my lips, the sweetness to inhale, and perhaps an idea of deep mystery!

I ran from one emotional realm to another and then I sat quietly imaging the "whispers of time old tales, the spicy tastes, the exotic essences ,the purest of gold, the dark mystery in your eyes. "

I love this my friend...

Finally, i feel your longing:
"Let me forget in your warmth the cold sunset of the west the false glittery gold and all the rest. Come, let my heart rest I crave your clear skies I long "

So much, so emotionally captivating!
